I am so sad that many children will be kept in care far longer than they need, because foster carers are inappropriately closed down. My thoughts go with you and your wife across the sea at this sad time.

Thank you very much for your condolence.

It’s not inappropriate to close a home that violates confidentiality.

      • ellenbest24 says:

        If that is what happened.

      • Andrew Toy says:

        1) No names were mentioned, therefore was I well within the guidelines,
        2) That’s not at all why they closed our home.

You violated confidentiality when you discussed the case and posted it publicly. You were not well within the guidelines. You violated federal laws. You stated sometime back in one of your rambling videos that you were not going to stay licensed and would be done in a few weeks. So had they already given notice to you at that point? Did you think deleting the video would get you back in their good graces?

He basically described most drug abuse cases that take place on a regular basis. There’s nothing original about his story. The fact that he didn’t use names means he could have been talking about a thousand other cases. No confidentiality was broken. Especially since the State didn’t cite him on that. Confidentiality was never the issue. This young man was well within his rights and the State closed his home because its lack of integrity was threatened.

I cannot express my outrage or my sadness. My best wishes to you and your family.

Sorry that this child had to be moved, actions by others, (especially public) can effect the childs right to privacy not to mention the childs security, sadly this does cause a child to go to a different home, some actions have consequences and it was a bad move on your end to go public on video you had to know it was going to ruffle some feathers speaking out about this subject, when fostering anything public is wrong..

    • Andrew Toy says:

Nothing ever gave the child’s identity away, nor the mother’s. No dates or names were given. Also, you missed the point entirely. That’s not at all the reason why they removed him from our home – not even close, because I was well within my rights. People share a lot more info than I even came close to sharing, with no consequences. With all due respect, when people like you shrug and say there will be consequences for trying to expose and evil and corrupt system, you are no better than Barbara Walters on the View who mocks Corey Feldman for trying to expose an evil and corrupt industry. You will either back them up and keep their secrets secret, or you will join the fight to expose their abuse and neglect.

  4. My heart breaks for you. I am so sorry. Thank you for your courage.

Thank you. Please spread this video around for others to see. The word must get out, and the evil must be exposed. This is happening to good people all over, but they’re unable to speak up.

The entire “protective services’ is a messed up conglomeration of problems. Kids that should not be taken from homes are removed and put into foster care. Why? Because states reap financial rewards for “saving” children from homes that do not meet the standards of a worker — keep in mind there is no solid “evidence” required, it is only a worker’s “concern” that there may be a problem that removes children from homes. Further it is more financially beneficial if they do not reunify the family, because adopting out to a non-family member up the state’s financial reward – if the family is reunified the state does not get the financial susidy — which increases only by increasing the number of children that are adopted out to strangers every year. It is a racket that affects everyone within this country. It is a sad situation.

  6. I can’t read or see anything? What happened?
