Writers! Fifteen Days Left to Win $150

Time’s ticking.

We want to make sure everyone knows to get their 500-word short stories in by February 25th to not only win $150, but to get published. Here’s how it works and what this is for… (if you already know the details, save yourself some time and go ahead and reblog this or share this on Twitter/Facebook for all your writers’ circles).

I’ve started a publishing company called Endever Publishing Studios. The ideas behind it are pretty awesome and if you’re interested in ever being published, you might want to take a look at this five-minute video.

We want to remain a debt-free business from the start, so we’re hosting a writing contest to raise funds for the company. The first $150 we receive will be awarded to the winner.

The winner will be chosen after we choose three finalists to post here on this blog as well as on Endever’s blog. (Click here to meet the judges.)

The rest of the funds we receive will go toward registering our business, and all the other factors that go into a startup company.

Here’s another thing. If you watched the video you’ll see that Endever will publish one short story from an aspiring author at the front of each novel. Suppose you’re not chosen as the winner, but we may still be interested in using your talent to write for us in the future.

So what are you waiting for? Have you submitted? Are you working on your short story now? We only ask that it doesn’t exceed 500 words and that’s it’s purely fictional. Good luck!

Click here to submit. The deadline is February 25th.

Follow Endever on Facebook and Twitter to watch us grow!

Just in case my few readers haven’t heard about this, it might be worth your while to have a look. You’re all incredibly talented writers, the evidence of which is contained in all your blog posts….so come on, all you great writers, enter the contest 😉

This is inspiring! Andrew has taken the steps I’ve been thinking about. He’s moving from writer to publisher, and from what I’ve read on his blog, is doing so to continue writing and sharing his work with more people. Check out the contest! 500 words could bring you $150 and publication.

For anyone who hasn’t heard about this, a fellow writer is starting a publishing company with two other writers and they’re hosting a contest. It looks like a good opportunity, especially for someone (like me) who doesn’t have anything published yet. So, if you think you can come up with a 500 word short story, be sure to look into this.

I’m considering entering it as well, though I am strugging a bit to come up with a story in 500 words. We’ll see what happens…

Reblogged on Writing Odyssey. I don’t have many followers at this point, but I do really like this idea. We’ll see if I can come up with a 500 word short story myself as well. Hope you get a good turn out!
