Blessings

Weekend posts are rare here on AdoptingJames, but I just felt like I needed to share this song with you in case you haven’t heard it yet. It’s called “Blessings” by Laura Story. Normally I consider these kinds of songs cheesy, but the lyrics here are deep and profound. They suggest looking at pain through a different perspective. If you’re hurting, or if you’re in pain, or if you’ve lost hope for some reason, listen to this song and be blessed.
In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:6-7
thank u for sharing!!!
A timely message – thank you.
One of my favorite songs!!
That song has been a comfort to me every time I hear it. Especially in a day in time when people proclaim a false doctrine that a Christian is not supposed to suffer, struggle, ever get discouraged, and that we are supposed to have our “best life now”. This is not our home, and we are aliens passing through this world. God never promised that life would be all ease and blessings, and it’s those very trials and struggles He uses to grow us and keep us knowing how badly we need Him, and hungering for that future day when we will lay it all down and He will wipe away every tear.
Love this song! Thank you for sharing.
